Hi, has anyone used these Muscle and Bone Growth Stimulators after their surgeries? If so, what did you do with it after you healed? I have one of each laying around the house. I called the companies that made them and brand new they cost $3000.00 for one and $4900.00 for the other. They have only been used a couple times each. Does anyone have any suggestions of were I can sell these or know of companies that buy them used? Thanks.

Welcome to the Healthboards for Back Problems. I also have a bone growth stimulator. On my initial visit to get mine, the technician had showed me how to use it and I wore mine home. When I got home, mine stopped working. I had to call the company and they had to mail be another one and I mailed back the first one. I have worn mine for four months. Yes, they are very expensive and I don't believe they are worth the price. But I don't know if they would last for the use of another patient. That probably would be something that you might want to research. I had to wear mine 24/7. Thank God my insurance company did approve it as I had infuse with BMP and that is why my surgeon had wanted me to wear it. Good Luck

Nazgul,
When I had my fusion in 1998 I was instructed to mail it back to the manufacture with a prepaid mailing label which I did. My surgeon said they just throw them away. That was then.
