Anti-inflammatories?

I am wondering if anyone out there has been on Indomethacin for lower back pain due to Spondylolesthesis? My Physician prescribed it to me 2 days ago but it's making me sick to my stomach I really don't know what else to do?

Re: Anti-inflammatories?

Good Morning Marg

I myself have never taken Indomethacin. This Anti-inflammatory does also come in extended release form. Indomethacin may cause an upset stomach. Make sure that you take indomethacin with food or milk.

Here is a list of side effects of this medication:
Although side effects from indomethacin are not common, they can occur. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away:
headache
dizziness
nervousness
upset stomach
stomach pain or cramps
vomiting
diarrhea
constipation
If you experience any of the following symptoms, call your doctor immediately:
bloody vomit
bloody diarrhea or black, tarry stools
ringing in the ears
swelling of the hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs
skin rash
itching

Re: Anti-inflammatories?

Thanks Tomorrow!!I appreciate your response. I think I will stop taking it, now it's giving me pain in my pouch area.
What good is it if it's going to give me more pain.
Take care,
Marg
