My doctor is recommending anterior vertebrectomy followed by a redo on my posterior hardware if I do not fuse shortly. I did some research on this surgery and it looks pretty hairy. Has anyone experienced this surgery? How long is the hospital stay? What are the risks of paralysis? Where do they obtain more grafts if the iliac crest hasn't sufficient material? What are the long term effects? Any information about this would be a real blessing. Like I said, I found info on the procedure, but little on these other questions.
