Strange bumpyness on spine after laminectomy/ligament or bone????

I can't really find anything on the web about this and wondering if anyone knows how long it takes the ligaments and stuff to heal after being cut after a lamy? I know sometimes when ligaments are damaged they never heal, atleast I think I've read that and it scares me because it could be an ongoing problem.

I had a laminectomy/discectomy 3 months ago and still have swelling and a bumpy feeling when you run your finger down over the area where they did the work. I had alot of bone growth removal too and don't know if it is the bones that feel bumpy or the ligaments and stuff. I just can't seem to get rid of this 'bumpiness' and swelling over that area. Just when I think it is going down I probably over do it and it gets more swollen. Anyone have a ideas?
If ANYONE has had a laminectomy and knows what bumpyness I'm talking about I'd like to know I'm not the only one!! Please!

Are you referring to the hard ridge of the incision? This also makes you think there are bumps underneath.
