had anterior fusion of c5-c6 back in July...was doing super until around Thanksgiving...had x-ray last week which indicated the alignment and position are satisfactory, but......

the neural foramina are widely patent and soft tissue abnormalitites are seen...okay guys.. I am frustrated...I am doing the Physical Therapy, I am doing everything I have been told to do....my surgeon moved...to another state and I am unable to get into another surgeon until end of Januaray or later. My PT says I am experiencing muscle spasms and myofascial pain...but my oh my I am in pain....any one know what this means?

My family dr. does not want to be involved, my rhuemy will not see me until after the holidays...so I am just curious what you all may know...thanks...

Hi cherishedchild, I know exactly how you feel and then some. I had the same fusion three years ago and have been dieing a very slow and painful death ever since. Just getting in to see a specialist up here (Canada) is like brushing the dogs teeth. You have to catch him first. Read my thread "now I'm Frustrated" and you will have an idea where I stand. It seems that waiting is a very big part of the doctors stratagy in that time heals all. NOT! It took eight years to be pain free after my first fusion. Not bad pain but it was still there. So continue with your PT and pray for the best as will I. Good luck and take good care.
