lower back pain and cervical rupture
I have a ruptured disk in my neck thats partially pressing on my spinal cord. The pain has subsided considering it was the worse pain i've ever felt in my life, but my fingers are still numb. I'm concerned about nerve damage. I also have spondylolysthesis, disk disease and arthritis in my lower back. Has anyone had disk replacement surgery? I know i'll have to have surgery for both problems at some point but the thought is a little scary.

Nerve damage and instability are the two main things to consider when thinking about surgery. When is the last time you had an MRI or other tests to follow the progression?
I think one type of ADR has been approved, so you might want to do a little research on the subject.

thank's for the info. i knew that disk replacement was hopefully going to be approved but didn't know if it happened yet. the last mri i had on my neck was last sept when it first happened. i haven't had anything recently.
