Post No disc left

I no longer have a disc between L5-S1 due to 2 surgeries. I have periods of pain, but OK now. Even working out very intensly with a trainer.

QUESTION:

Can a person live without that disc or will the back slip out of place and cause more serious damage? I currently cannot feel the outside of my foot ayear after my last surgery.
