Question Spina bifida occulta--ANY ideas for pain relief?

My SBO was found by accident on a lumbar spine x-ray.
(I've read that's how most are found). Does anyone have an suggestions or ideas about what to do for this condition? Are there any specific exercises I can do?
I've had lower back pain for years is the SBO making it worse?? I really don't know. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

MJFrog,

In addition to my back problems listed in my signature, I also have spina bifida occulta. SBO is a birth defect that is usually passed down genetically. There does not appear to be any evidence that SBO will directly cause back pain. However, it has been speculated that the SBO causes weakness in the vertabrae which may contribute to some back pain.

Before I injured my back seriously, I suffered from minor lower back pain for as long as I can remember. I am assuming that it was because of the SBO, but it was nothing a few Motrin wouldn't help.

I hope this helps to answer some of your questions.

Anne

Re: Spina bifida occulta--ANY ideas for pain relief?

I have occulta picked up while reearching chronic urinary track infections all the time . Now getting acute 24 hr episodes of such severe pain cannot move.As soon as paramol kicks in back to normal . However this is worrying as suspect may be connected to me becoming immune to medication .Not one specialist is researching to assist .Believe sepsis low grade may be happening as severe itching all over , over 6 months.
