Hi, I had a Lami./Disect. L5-S1 in Jan. 2004 and it reherniated. My doctor told me it was a small herniation but I got the MRI report and was looking it over with my Physical Therapist and we found the measurement of it was
13.2 mm. Is that really a small disc??? We found that to be fairly large!
I was just wondering if anyone knew or if my doctor just didn't want to tell me really how big it was. Thanks!
WOW!!! 13.2 mm....My neurologist told me that mine being 9 mm...at L5-S1 was a very larger herniation....had a discectomy/laminectomy on June 2.....sounds like to me that your doc was just not being honest with you about how big it truley was...13.2 mm to me is a rather large herniation.......
I definitely would talk to your doc, and take your parents with you. You might even want to get a second opinion. I don't know anything about herniated discs (my problems are different), but based on what WildRose said, I'd address the situation fast.
Good luck sweetie, hope everything turns out okay.
