MRI Results...what does this mean????

I had an MRI this week and the results showed that I had a disc buldging between L4 and L5, along with a tear. Not a serious herniation. So, where do I go from here? The intense pain has lessened so I can how function but does anyone know if P.T. would help? I need to know what to do so this won't happen again (2nd time). The MD said it did not look too serious but to me, not being able to get out of bed and walk is serious, and the pain certainly was....any suggestions?? Thanks..

Re: MRI Results...what does this mean????

not only will pt help but by strengthening abs and upper body you may prevent it from happening again

it can take months, even longer for your back to heal but atleast with pt your giving yourself the best chances to get better faster.give it a shot and you really can do alot of stuff at home once insurance cuts off pt payments which they eventually do...scotty
