Hi! I was wondering if anyone will know what would cause this? Off and on for 1 year I have been having a pain when I bend my neck down or turn a certain way I have an excruciating shooting pain from my lower back all the way up the middle of my spine. Now I am also having right sided hip and knee pain (but not shooting). My lower back does ache sometimes but seems otherwise OK. Any ideas??
About five years ago you couldn't get an MRI unless you had lost body functions. These days, you can get them with just a simple request. I am not sure that everyone needs one. X-Rays are cheaper and they could diagnose your problem. Then, if they don't find it, you can move onto a MRI.
For everyone out there who is jumping onto the MRI wagon, and I admit that I made this mistake, your medical records are now on file. They effect the chances of getting jobs, insurance, pre-exisiting conditions, etc. I should have listened to my husband, who is in personnel. This will now follow me forever.
Dear Betty, according to your post if a person has an MRI, then the chances of ever being insured or employable again are a lost cause ? I cannot believe what a person has to deal with besides all the Back Pain, the hassle of getting disabilty benefits, medications etc, that in the end we will have even more to deal with after surgery, P.M clinics, tons of paperwork that if we are sent back to work that we are now considered a risk? thanks for info, Mink
