I live alone so I was sent to a 'skilled nursing' facility following fusion from L3 to S1. I had 2 hours a day of PT/OT for 2.5 weeks. Then I went home. By the time I went home I was able to take a shower and get around.

cool, how did you like it? Of course, it was a SNF, so I can't think it really would have been all that great. I work in a private rehab hospital (euro-corp) and they do some really great things. Thanks for sharing, I was just curious.
There was nothing 'cool' about it. It was a nursing home. After the dressing came off my back I could finally take a shower. I complained about how slippery the shower floor was and I just had a 4-level lumbar fusion. Looking at me standing up they told me, "nobody stands up".
