I think I sprained a back muscle and its been 11 days since, and its still kind of hurts, not too bad though, but a little sore. Is this normal? How long does a sprain last? I dont get severe sprains like this, but sometimes i get backaches due to my endometriosis. Just wondering if anyone recommends I see a massage therapist or chiroprator regularly for minor back pain??? If so, how often should i go?
I'm no doctor, but I've sprained my back about a million times in the last 14 years. It's always been aproximately three weeks before I was fully back up to par. Sorry to hear of your's. They won't kill you, but they sure can hurt.
The less U do, the faster it heals & then move slower 2 weeks after thinking U R OK.
Use ice paks, sleep or rest flat w/ a back-wedge. U will be amazed at the ahhh when
U get the spine flat & legs up. Best investment to make. Stacked pillows help till they
slip & U mis-align. Bad strain/sprain is atleast 3 wks., very bad is 6wks. Try to find
Biofreeze gel in tube. Chiro's & PT use it & sell it. Also sold on Net but s & h too $.
It goes deeper to freeze nerves, totally soaks in & no menthol smell after it's in. Helps
up to a few hrs. & sure stops pain. Drugstores don't sell it. I hurt alot so I've tried
lots. Rest & ice really R the best along w/ a pain med if helps inflammation.
