Hi everyone

Oct 7th I had my fusion surgery. Except for the incision site I feel great The thing that is really bothering me is this horrible brace which is a pain. Im trying to figure out how to do things for myself and its funny how something as simple as sitting down is so hard now I get my grabber wherever I go and I love it, saved me alot of grief already. I am so glad that I got the surgery and it looks lso far like everything is going to be good whixh is a blessing to me

Julie: So glad you're home and on the mend. I can't relate to the brace because my new doctor didn't have me in one and I'm so releived (the original doctor did). I can relate to the discomfort of the incision. I had a hospital bed set up at home and actually called the bed company to tell them their mattress sucked. It took me about 10 days to realize that it was actually my incision bothering me. ha! (drugs are an awful thing at times).
I, too, love my grabber - however I'm 5 weeks post-op now and find myself not using quite as much. I guess that's good. And, as far as doing for ourselves, I think we bring new meaning to "where there's a will, there's a way.

Keep hanging in there. Glad to see you on "this side"
