Well, my mother-in-law insisted on driving my car to Florida, so that's a big relief. We'll pay for her and my father-in-laws return flight. It's a small price to pay and I appreciate it so much. They're retired and in good health and love to drive!
That said....I STILL have to drive to Florida with my hubby (1400 miles). Anybody have any suggestions on how to make the trip safely and more comfortably? Anybody used that tush cushion with the cutout for your tailbone...would that help? My husband has a truck so I can't lay down in the back seat, but the seat does recline all the way back. We plan on taking 4-5 days to get there, so I won't be driving more than 6 hours a day.
I haven't driven for more than 3 hours straight since my surgery in June...and don't forget I have reherniated, but my pain level is manageable at the moment. My ortho didn't seem concerned....just said take it slow.
Thanks for all your help. You guys are the best!
Paula
