Hello, I know from experience that your back is a lot like dominos, in the since that one problem can lead to another quickly. Since your back is so important, don't take too long before you get checked out. Since this just happened yesterday, I would almost guarantee the first approach the Dr. will say is to take an anti-imflammatory and rest. But he will also likely get some pictures of your back. Esspecially if there is pain going down your leg. That means there is some nerve damage. The longer you have nerve damage w/o treatment, the more likely it will be permanent. Please find an orhto. or a neuro. who specialize in the spine and make an apptmt. It will probably be several weeks to get in to see one. If you are better before the apptmt. that's great. If you still need to be seen, you now have several weeks of home treatment to show the Dr. that it is not working and he/she should take it to the next level. I have learned to make a note of what meds. and treatments I have done and the outcome. Then on that 1st visit, they already know you've done their 1st choice of treatment.
Hope this helps,
Lorie
