this was about 4 years ago, so i dont know if things have changed.
but my experience was..
his "helper" guy at the time (I forgot the name, something like 2 guys names in a row with "rick" in it.or something like that)
was kinda a "yes" man, he had career success in his eyes more then "helping the people"
and I would call him in pain and he would prescribe me the same ol tylenol 3 with no effect.
The doctor himself was professional enough.
I had one discectomy and after a while of "recovering" it was decided "they didnt get it all, in this rare case we have to do it again"
and did a "redo"
after all this time, i cant say if the surgery was successful at all.
but that is not even a doctor specific comment, as you mayb know there are tons of theorys on "waiting vs surgery"
it was real bad (pain wise) who knows if it was technically bad, I mean...they said I was a candidate for surgery
I did PT after, and let that fall by the wayside because of money
I remember saying to someone "I feel improvement"
but have had all kinds of hell after that, and long story short, I cant say 100% that it helped, but if you have insurance and havent found any relief, I would explore all my options..
if I could do it ALL over again (and if I had insurance)
i think I would have tried IDET first, then endoscopic, and then lots of PT
anyway, I hope that helps, as you know the mysteries of back problems make it hard for me to give to a very clear opinion of dr ditsworth
but as I stated before, they actually admitted to not doing it completely and doing it again.
