Smile This is strange!

So I went to get into bed last night, and I was carefully laying back. As I was laying back, it struck me that since my fusion I can only move in certain ways, and it makes me feel like I have a board up my butt! It just struck me as kind of funny and I had to share! Anyone else feel like this?

Re: This is strange!

I don't know about a board up my butt, but after mine I thought I could pass for one of the zombies on Dawn of the Dead or Resident Evil 2. I walked like one, that is for sure. I do feel like I am sitting on a board when I try to prop up on a pillow. Still can't do that. Board up the butt, huh?

Re: This is strange!

I couldn't think of another way to describe it- I can only lean because of this brace, can't bend, twist, flex, etc. Well, you know all this stuff- you're going through the same thing! Got any ideas how to lay in bed and read? I tried it last night, and couldn't find a comfy way to do it. That's what started leading to the whole board up the butt thing!

Re: This is strange!

I just put pillows behind me, sit up as much as I can then scoot til I am comfy. I don't actually sit up, but kind of, well, more propped up I guess. really, all I can do is put pillows behind my head so I am not flat. It sucks, there really is no comfy way. Gotta just keep trying til you find the MOST comfy spot.
