jdlfmc/question for anyone with a disc tear

with your torn disc, do you find it difficult sitting. thats my biggest problem. what are some of the other problems you have. standing and walking aren't to bad for me. i could get in the yard and throw the football around no problem. i might be a little sore. but the minute i sit down, searing, burning, constant pain. jayboy

When you have a disc problem, sitting is usually worse. It increases the load on the discs in your spine by a ton (don't remember the exact number). So it makes sense that sitting is worse for you.

Re: jdlfmc/question for anyone with a disc tear

Hi, Yes in the begining sitting was one of the most difficult things for me the pain was unbearable. The burning sensation never stopped.
I really have no idea what treatment will be best for you they wanted to do an Idet on me and my ins. denied it and after I did all the research I'm happy they did.
I hope you can find comfort soon I know how painful this is. Be sure and use ice on your lower back that was the only way I ever got any relief.

Sitting isn't good, but bending over is the worst!! My muscles go into spasms and I don't know how to straighten back up. When I'm in bed, turning over isn't easy.
