I went Wed. to have a possible hardware removal and after 3 hr in surgery, my surgeon left the hardware
He said after carefully inspecting everything that I had spinal stenosis at the l3 and l5 level.. but l5 was much more pronounced so he did 2 decompressions on those areas. I hope this works or else it is the spinal cord stim trial, I still have left leg and hip pain, but he said to just take it easy and we will wait and see. The good news was the hardware looked perfect at the other level so it stayed. I am glad because he said it is o.k. to take out but it does give more stability with it in. I had my hubby get a gopher stick, that is a MUST
I wish I had that with my fusion, I would have been able to follow the no bending restriction much better.I hope everyone is doing o.k.,(I know if you were you would not need this board huh?) The incision site is really swollen though and it is really close to my spine so that grossed me out. I guess I will check and see how everyone else has been on the board.
