Just wondering if anyone knows why there are so many problems w/that level? It's like EVERYONE has a problem there. Is it from having too big of a butt?? LOL
I hope you are all doing well today. I am taking my medication as prescribed only this time I promise...no more 60 vicodin in 4 days!
She asked if I wanted percocet again but am trying to go down in medication so we went to vicodin ES. One or two every 6 hours. I took 2 at 6 AM and it's now 11:07 and I am counting the minutes! Weds will be 3 weeks post op and my back still hurts! But I guess thats from having 4 pedicle screws, a titanium plate, and whatever else they put in w/the donor bone graft and other junk. My doc said I could expect to use the narcotics for about 6 or 7 weeks then would taper down and motrin or regular asprin should work if I even need anything by then. They are so kind to me there. I even got this cool laminated card that looks like a drivers liscense that has the dr's picture, name, the surgery date, what surgery it was, what implants are there, etc....
just in case I have a car wreck or something it'll be in my wallet for any ER doc or paramedic to see. I think that's a great idea! Did anyone else get that too? Maybe it's just this place. it's the Center for Spinal Disorders in Thornton Colorado. Wonderful wonderful place.
Am having a prob w/them getting back to my disability people though. If they don't have anything my Weds my case is denied and I don't get paid and the benefits I have been paid will be taken back. I lost a lot of time to deal w/that being rehospitalized with that stupid ileus for a week. Believe me on Tues (Monday is a holiday OF COURSE) I will be on their A## to get it to them or just give it to me and I'll fax the darn stuff!!!
Enough venting.......here's to pain free days and a great 3 day weekend for those of you who have monday off.
