Odd tickle....

Hi, this, to me, seems very odd ..... has anyone, by any chance ever had a tickle (as though there's an ant) just under the skin in the same spot. At first i thought it was the label on bra strap (is just to the left of my spine - midback) but it happens even when I have nothing touching my back. it is starting to drive me crazy! maybe it is just the equivalent to a twitch but in my back and will just go away, any thoughts similar experiences would be greatly recieved.

Cool Re: Odd tickle....

I often get a tingling sensation in my legs (shins & Thighs) that I would describe as somethinng similar to what you experince. Have no explanation or idea what it is but thats life

Re: Odd tickle....

As far as your "tickle" goes I don't really know what that may be. It's difficult because everybody experiences pain or discomfort differently.
Losy - As far as tingling goes, depending on your situation thay could very well be related to your back problems and it may be your nerves that are being affected. I don't know what your situation is but you may want to see your doctor and let he/she know. I started to experience that and it didn't take long for it to spread from my buttocks right down my legs (mainly right) to my feet.
Take care. Kristy.

Re: Odd tickle....

I had tingling like that in my leg and foot before my surgery. It was from the nerve being severely compressed. You should let your doctor know, since tingling usually means more severe nerve compression. Keep us posted!
Has anyone, by any chance ever had a tickle (as though there's an ant) just under the skin in the same spot.
Could be a nerve impulse, and it might go away within a month or two.
I had something like this recently on my inner thigh - it would itch quite often for no reason (there was nothing on the skin like a rash or mark), and this started out of nowhere.
I went to my dermatologist for something else, and he looked at the area and said it's probably a nerve acting up - said there's a nerve that goes through the groin area and comes ``out'' about there.
Anyway, the worst of the itching lasted about 6 weeks, and gradually it became less and less frequent, and then one day it was gone completely.
Hopefully that's what this is, and it will go away.

Re: Odd tickle....

Thanks everyone for your replies, good to know that others have experienced something similar and i'm not going crazy! I have recently moved and have been moving alot of furniture and boxes around so could quite easily be a nerve playing up from all the stress i've put on it. for now will just see if it just sorts itself out.

Re: Odd tickle....

I had the same thing in my mid back around the t-11 , t-12 area , My doc thinks in it is related to my low back pain, She had me ice the area for 15 min and it went away.
good luck.
