I just wanted to get an idea of about what time frame the doctors noticed you were beginning to fuse and when did they say you were 100%.
I know it is different for all of us??
Thanks in advance
Lisa
at my first follow-up the doctor said he saw very faint signs of bone matter starting...then a little bit more at the next follow-up. Then last week 17 weeks post-op...I he saw that I was 100% fused. He indicated that this is not usual at all and that it normally takes 6 months to see results like that.
I guess he did something right!
At the three month x-ray/check-up, fusion was started. Was given the thumbs up. Started bone growth stimulator the next day. Expect to be fused within a year.
(report on my husband's out patient, two level neck fusion done in Oct.)
My 8 week check is Wednesday and I am also excited to see the progress. The first couple weeks my doctor stated mine had moved slightly so I have been really restricted until it is fusing.

I had an xray at 2 months and there was no sign of fusion at that point. I have another xray on the 19th (4 months) and I am keeping my fingers crossed.
