well, before surgery and after I was preferring 10/325 mg Percocets. I was given Lortabs after surgery, but they didn't quite cut it. I am now on 7.5/325 percs. I take two usually at a time, sometimes I try and take one, but we'll see....
to be quite honest, nothing, not even percocet, really cuts my back pain. It makes me high so I don't care as much, and takes the edge off when the nerve is stabbing like a knife.
I'm curious. Has anyone found a drug that actually RELIEVES the back pain? To what degree? Some or completely takes the pain away?
If your looking for the best medication to help with you pain you need to take a long acting or time released medication on a regular basis and then a short acting medication for the break-thru pain.
I have done the:
oxycontin/vicodin for BT
duragesic patch/percocert for BT
now
methadone percocet for BT
with CP you can't really get good paim management without the longer acting medications and then meds for the BT.
