Good Back Doctor in Seattle Washington

I all I just recently moved to Washington Seattle (well around bellevue area) and I desperatly need to find a back doctor that is good and sympathetic.

history I have multilevel disc degenrative disease and i have had two disectomies within the last year and have reherniated again this herniation is puching against my nerve just like the other times - I am in constant pain.

Doctor in wyoming wants to do a fusion but i have to loose some wieght first then we got transfered to seattle. My wyoming doctor had me on Norco 10mg/325 muscle relaxors and antiinflammatories. The combination of them make it tollerable during the day. I need to find a doctor who will help me and has lots of experience dealing with this sort of thing.

I am soo sick to death of being in pain and living on pain medicine i want to be fixed.

any recommendations would be very helpful!!

Thank you

Have you been up to spine.org. They are all spine pros.

Yes but they don't list any information about the doctors so I was hoping someone lived up here and could refer me.

My OSS is part of that group and they're all cutting edge. Who is on your insurance? The group is made up of all kinds of spine care providers. You're going to have to start making some phone calls. And make a leap of faith. My spine specialist was two years off a fellowship and I was encouraged to see him by a neurologist and a physiatrist. I balked because he was 25 miles away, but the one in my town who brags he does "intricate spine surgery" doesn't have a fellowship. I had a posterior fusion from L3-S1 with BMP on sponges. The procedure hadn't even been approved by the FDA. Spine.org is a good place to start making phone calls. Did you ask your doctor in Wyoming?

Re: Good Back Doctor in Seattle Washington

For starters you'll have to sort out the surgeons from the physiatrists and the physical therapists from the surgeons on the list. Actually, physical therapists know the good surgeons. Someone suggested sitting in the doctor's waiting room and asking questions. Do you have a PCP yet? Ask who he would have work on him. Get a referral to a physiatrist and while there ask him. My first question was were they born here/did they speak English. Maybe you could pick a name and google it. My surgeon is 39 and two years off a fellowship---cuting edge!
