ugh pain

anyone else having more pain than usual? For some reason I have been hurting more since my follow up on Thurs. I had no reason to feel down and then it is like my pain just decided to increase. I don't think I did anything! (aaaah, though could be the driving, even though I have not gone for more than 10 mins in the car at a time). Hip and posterior incision pain, abdomen is fine. So, anyone else? Any thoughts? Nothing seems to take the edge off it, but it isn't severe by any means.

Re: ugh pain

So sorry to hear you are having more pain. Mine has been worse lately but I think it's because of the weather. Been very cold with snow and ice this week.

Hope you feel better soon. I hope you are not overdoing it.

Re: ugh pain

I have no idea if I am overdoing it or not. I am beginning to wonder....Okay, remember how I went shopping like three days in a row not long after I got out of the hospital? Well, I hurt but it wasn't killingme. Then like a week later, I got that bad inflammation and had to go to the ER. I wonder if there is a delayed response? So, Saturday and SUnday of last week I went shopping and this past week i hve been driving more and had a few appts (two at radiology place and was there for like one hour and 1/2 give or take. So, now I wonder if last weekend and this past week are catching up. SO, I don't hurt more immediately, it takes a week to kick in. Wouldn't that just SUCK? WEll, i am gonna hang out here a bit longer then off to bed. the flexeril is kicking in...

Re: ugh pain

That would suck. Mine usually takes a day or two before it hits, then I'm paying for it for a few days.
Good night,
Memaw

Re: ugh pain

Hi Mel ,
After reading several threads, I noticed you and I had our surgeries very close to the same time, mine was 12-14-04. I too was shopping days after being home, in wheelchair but shopping none the less. I do find myself having increased pain days after activities. This past weekend we had two big family all day gatherings, and I spent mon thru thurs. in bed really regretting it. I have made myself slow down alot since. I try to do what my head feels like doing and then my body suffers, so try taking it easy for a few more weeks and maybe it will help. God Bless in your recovery.

Carol
