| Re: Curious
I have a bulge, spondy and loss of the curve in my neck at the same level and I was told there is nothing that can be done surgically. I can't do much where my neck is concerned like sit on the couch and read, write at the table....I have so much pain! I did have a pinched nerve but the TRANSFORAMINAL ESI I got fixed that problem, but the muscle structural pain is still there. I haven't even begun treatment yet as I just had a lumbar fusion. I know when we do, I will go back to PT (which did not help the first time for me either), with deep tissue massage, heat (ultrasound), maybe a tens unit, muscle relaxers, and arthritis meds. Part of me is sad or dissapointed that surgery won't help, bc it seems so easy-but even if it were it would be hard to decided. I wish I knew how all of this would work out, but I just have no idea. This is more frustrating than my lumbar problems. I suggest if you still have arm pain, to try the transforaminal injections-two in the nerve root opening instead of one at the general disc site. Hard to explain, but if you do a search it can explain it better.
I have found NOTHING helps so far, so if you find something that works, let me know. If I find out first, I sure will share!
