Unhappy tear in disc question

After I had a discogram, my doctor told me that I had a tear in one disc, and I have noticed a different pain in the last two days, could the tear be getting worse?I am in constant pain, but now have a sharp stabbing pain in my lower back.

Re: tear in disc question

I haven't had a discogram but I thought that after having one of those procedures you may have increased pain afterwards, at least that's what I've read...I would think that it may get worse because if they are stickin a needle into the bad disk, how could it not cause it to get worse??

Re: tear in disc question

My Diskogram caused pain so severe, that after the Demerol and all the Versed, they finally gave me an injection of Morphine.
They couldn't get the needle in the S1 L5, so they tried it twice OUCH !!
