Got a question: what is your is weight and fitness level? These are variables that will affect your back and which you can control. Not to pry, but if you pack a lot of extra padding on the front, its going to pull on the those back muscles. Weight and fitness are not the only criteria, and I appreciate that in spite of being trim and fit, you can develop a herniated disk. Posture also plays a role, how you sit or slouch when you sit, over time, will take its toll on your back. At 25, you may be able to take steps to correct your posture, if that's a factor in your woes. If you do embark on an exercise regime, don't make the mistake I made and concentrate on your abdominals to the exclusion of your back muscles. From what I've heard and read, those back extension muscles are the key to a stable back and protection of those disks.
