Hope the glucosamine is helping...I haven't ever taken it long enough to know if it works. Always too busy. But, if you aren't able to take the OTC items, you gotta try somethin'!

Please let me know how the BMP is working for you...that was the surgery option I would be taking if the IDET had failed.

Watch your cholesterol. Glucosamine raises it.
How has the BMP surgery changed in five years? I just, seven months ago, had posterior lateral fusion on three levels with BMP. My procedure isn't approved yet but I was told it is being done throughout the spine community.

Hi, My BMP was put on sponges and laid on either side of my spine. I had a laminectomy done at the same time and the scrapings from that were mixed with the BMP. They are also using glue to hold the BMP/spacers/cages in place. When I woke up I couldn't believe I had been cut. It was someone on a board that told me the procedure wasn't approved. My surgeon admitted it was off-label. But it worked!

My BMP was posterior and three levels. That FDA website has so much up there that it's hard to find anything.
