ADR & Insurance Companies

I will be going in for a diskogram soon and my Dr. says I would be a candidate for ADR if it shows positive for my pain. I know ADR has been approved by the FDA now, but has anyone had the procedure covered fully by their insurance company? If not, how long after FDA approval does it take for insurance companies to cover new procedures in the US? Thanks

Re: ADR & Insurance Companies

Hi. Trying with Preferred Care in NY. They have denied. I'm in the appeals process. Good luck.

(they did however approve my back fusion for my L5-S1 problem. A procedure where my Doc here in Rochester would make 6 inch Posterior and Anterior incisions. In the hospital for 8 days, ina brace for 3 months, out of work for 6-8 months. We are truly in the dark ages in Western NY)
