No relief from Subutex........

Anyone have luck with Subutex (Buprenorphine treatment)? Well, I went in to start the program and get off Vicodin. I took it at 9:30 a.m and by 10:30 I couldn't stop vomiting. They gave a perscription to stop vomiting and then 2 different injections in my hip and nothing would work. By now I am so drugged I couldn't walk. My husband had to come get me and I left the dr. office at 2:30 p.m. I threw up and slept for 4 days. I took myself off the meds. They say the program is great, but I haven't talked to anyone that has done well! So if your out there, please let me know if it has worked for you! It is not a pain medication, but how I understand it, is that it gives you that same loopy feeling that our pain meds. give us and it kinda tricks the brain that we have taken pain meds., this is what it says in medical terms. Buprenorphine Hydrochloride works to reduce the symptoms of opiate dependence and seals the morphine receptors in your brain. Anyway, any luck out there?

Re: No relief from Subutex........

Why not just taper off your meds since this stuff makes you so ill? Seems to me the treatment is worse than the disease.
