Possible causes of 'clicking' back - opinions please?
Have suffered on and off with lower back pains most of my adult life. A consultant once told me that I have slight curvature of the spine and that one side of my pelvis is slightly higher than the other, whatever that meant.
I have found that over the last six months my back has become very 'clicky', for instance every night when I get in bed my lower back feels like it's 'fused' together, so I twist my trunk and get a series of loud clicks and clunks, which makes it feel better. Only ever happens when I twist to the right!
Also back clicks when I turn to my right when sitting in a chair - so loud that other people in the room hear.
Is this arthritis or spondilytis or something similar? I know it's hard to diagnose from my poor description, but could I have a few suggestions as to possible causes, so I can read up a bit more before visiting my Doctor? Thanks!
