You didn't say when you had the surgery....or what kind it was. The best advise I can give is to tell you to take it slowly, follow your doctors orders. No vacuuming or sweeping, no mopping floors, etc. Right now you are most vulnerable for further disc problems, even at the same level. The other discs are going to be helping carry the load for the one that was repaired and therefore you need to treat your back very gingerly. Walking is good, starting slow, not going to far and then gradually adding time to it. After a while, you can pick up the pace a bit.
Just try to use good sense and be careful.
