If it ain't one thing, it's another...
I finally got some relief from my back pain. I started taking a different anti inflammatory. What a difference! But then I pulled a muscle in my back (according to the ER doc). Good grief. Suffered with that for two days until I went to the ER - he gave me a shot and voila! no more back pain. But as soon as my back pain went away, the nerve in my leg starting hurting REALLY bad. Normally I can move around and get off the nerve but I haven't been able to do that this time. My leg has been hurting and numb since 7:00 saturday night. ER doc said there was nothing they could do for me. Going to see my family physician tomorrow and hopefully get an MRI and a referral.

With a numb leg that doesn't fully cooperate, what are my options? I don't care at this point as long as it goes away!!!

HI, Not really sure what your rx'ed with but I can say the back problems with me and most has been a domino effect and on-going. I can say that after 4 1/2 yrs with the leg pain, numbness ect they finally did a emg and found I have nerve damage to the S1 so it can be a long process of test and elimination.
Hopefully if this is your first MRI you will get the RX you need and be on the road to a speedy recovery.
