Re: Female Question Beware!!!

Hi! I too am on hydrocodone and my period seems to come later and later. I am not even on birth control. I have a bulging disk at L5/S1, with nerve root compression. I guess I always just figured that the nerve compression could have something to do with it?? But I guess I should ask my dr. cause I'm probably wrong. Anyhow, my husband is has had a vasectomy, so I don't worry about getting pregnant. If I were you, I would talk to my dr. soon and get this figured out. Hope I helped.

Re: Female Question Beware!!!

Hydrocodine will not interfere with the effectiveness of birth control pills. Any type of muscle relaxants or anti-inflammitories can delay onset of your period though. When I would take ibuprofen for menstrual cramps sometimes I would start taking it before I actually had pain so then the pain would not get so bad. Doing this would delay my period for a couple days and it also did not flow as heavy as quickly. It ended up making my period last for 1 1/2 weeks instead of 1 week.
