Re: "Hypertrophic Facets"?

Hi there
That is arthritic changes of the facet joints. Have they done facet blocks?
I know you too have an extensive history. Just wondering what they have said may be a treatment plan for you.

Re: "Hypertrophic Facets"?

Thanks for clarifying Shelley

Yes, I have had the facet blocks (total lumbar bilateral) no significant pain relief

Next up = a discogram.

revision surgery will most likely be in the next month - we're now trying to pin down what levels other than non union @ L4/5 need attention.

Thanks again,
Bionic

Re: "Hypertrophic Facets"?

Hi there
I am so sorry to hear that. I have never had luck with the injections themselves. I had a cervical discogram Monday .....I can not believe I signed up for that, It was quite different then the lumbar, but either way, I do not want a repeat of either of them. i hope you get some kind of answers soon. I feel like a car wreck most days. i think my doc wonders how someone my age could have so many things going on at once. Oh well enough whining I will see what they tell me tomorrow as far as the cervical area, i am going to have to try the SCS for the lumbar area hopefully in the next couple weeks. Is your discogram scheduled yet?
