I constantly get a pain on my left side in my back below the rib cage but above the hip, at one stage the Doctor thought it might be a kidney problem as there was a minute amount of blood and sent me off for an ultra sound which was clear. However I keep getting this pain that is not relieved with analgesics, I know it could be muscular but don't know how to get relief from it when it occurs.
Karly I had an L4- L5 - S1 fusion with screws and cadaver bone at 39 yrs old. I had the operation last April. I have severe pain in my left hip and leg, Plus the pain in my lower back is still there, But not as bad as before the surgery, My Dr.'s tell me its muscle spasms, But I know what spasm's are, This is pain, If you find out, Let me know. Thanks
Welcome to the boards. No idea what the origin of your pain is....I do think you need more tests to find out, obviously it's worrying you ~ meanwhile do you get any relief with ice or heat? a hot bath?
sorry I haven't more help for you - but do see the Dr again and let us know.
