When I had my MRI done about 8 weeks ago they said I had a disc protrusion and it was pinching my nerve on both sides. I was having severe pain at that time. I only have pain when I move certain ways now. Or if I lay on my back. If the nerve is pinched wouldn't it hurt all of the time? Wouldn't I have pain down my legs if the nerve was pinched? I do not have leg pain. It's all in my back. I can tell I do have muscle weakness in my left leg. That could be from favoring my right leg. I have more pain on the left side of my back. I find I am avoiding standing on my left leg. I try not to do that but I am starting to do it without realizing it then I catch myself doing it. Maybe my nerve is just pinched a little bit and it is sending the pain signals to my back but not all the way down my leg.
