I am off for my pre-ops. I'm not nervous yet, but after discussing all the possible complications, and signing my life away

to the anesthiologist, I'm likely to become nervous.

I appreciate all the support here!!!

Hey Evie,
The main thing to remember after your Micro is DO WHAT THE DOC TELLS YOU AND NO MORE.
I felt so good right after my first discectomy that I WAY overdid it within a few weeks after, and boy did I pay for it.
I was back in the hospital 7 months later with a reherniation and another surgery.
Now I'm looking at a two level TLIF. I have myself convinced that had I listened to the doc, and let myself heal, I would not be in this spot today.
PS The micro is so great,Because the minute you wake up from surgery there is NO back or Leg pain!

Dave,

Thank you for the encouraging words. I will try to take it easy. I was told no driving, bending, twisting, lifting, or sitting for longer than 20 minutes for the first four weeks. That does seem quite restrictive, but I want to heal so I will comply.

My surgery is scheduled for late morning. I'll let you know how I do as soon as I can.
