As posted previously, these back surgeries are so expensive! Does anyone know what happens when you reach your lifetime maximum benefit amount with the insurance company? Does the insurance company cut you off? These numbers for dh are scaring me:
He hasn't even hit old age yet at 46! Isn't it ironic that BCBS raises their rates, raises their deductibles, and doesn't raise their million $$ lifetime amount?

Just pulled my policy and checked it for limits. As mine is a group plan the only lifetime limits have to do with mental treatment and drug rehab limits which thankfully I have no need. My BCBS got money off me for 20 years before they had to pay out anything, but they have really paid out since, far, far in excess of what you list. Is your coverage individual purchase instead of a group policy from work? Might be time to speak with an insurance agent for specifics on limits and possibly raise the level if you need to.
