MORN'N, I AM LOOKING FOR A BACK BRACE FOR THE WARMER WEATHER. IT'S UNFORTUNATE THAT I AM WEARING MY MOLDED PLASTIC TURTLE SHELL FROM MY SURGERY IN 2003. IT IS WARM NOW AND THE WARM WEATHER ISN'T HERE YET.I HAVE A 2 LEVEL FUSION WITH THE UPPER LEVEL L3 UNSTABLE. I NEED SOMETHING TO SUPPORT MY BACK AND KEEP IT STRAIGHT. ANY IDEAS???????? THANKS
Hi, sorry I don't have any ideas, but I feel for you having to wear a brace now, I had to wear one last summer, and I hated it. Thankfully, my surgeon said that I didn't need one now. Good luck. Valley
The doctor can prescribe one that is cooler and you obtain it from the same places that make the molded ones. There is the very wide elastic type like you see people wear in lumber yards (without the shoulder straps) but if you are wearing a molded one he probably would recommend the one that is cloth and 4-6 staves to hold you straight, and it looks very much like the old fashioned laced up corsetts. Those are in the box, so just a fitting for s-m-lg and your gone a few minutes later. Don't know if you could get it without a script, but guess the insurance wouldn't pay unless it was prescribed.
TAKE MINE! TAKE MINE!
It's a large one and cloth/velcro with removable plastic inserts for washing.
Darn... Ain't a shame I can't get your address and mail it to ya???
I only used it 4 weeks during the day.
