Hi, sorry I don't have any ideas, but I feel for you having to wear a brace now, I had to wear one last summer, and I hated it. Thankfully, my surgeon said that I didn't need one now. Good luck. Valley

Re: Help!!! Back Brace

Hi there,

The doctor can prescribe one that is cooler and you obtain it from the same places that make the molded ones. There is the very wide elastic type like you see people wear in lumber yards (without the shoulder straps) but if you are wearing a molded one he probably would recommend the one that is cloth and 4-6 staves to hold you straight, and it looks very much like the old fashioned laced up corsetts. Those are in the box, so just a fitting for s-m-lg and your gone a few minutes later. Don't know if you could get it without a script, but guess the insurance wouldn't pay unless it was prescribed.

Re: Help!!! Back Brace

TAKE MINE! TAKE MINE!
It's a large one and cloth/velcro with removable plastic inserts for washing.
Darn... Ain't a shame I can't get your address and mail it to ya???
I only used it 4 weeks during the day.

Re: Help!!! Back Brace

I wore mine 24/7 all last summer with a tank top under it. The OTC ones don't give the same support---mine was hard but not custom fit.
