Looks like we are scheduled the same day for surgery, May 12, I am having Anterior lumbar interbody fusion L4-5 or a ADR if it is ok'd with insurance which is unlikely.

So we are in this together. Just sending happy thoughts your way

and letting you know you won't be alone that day he he

Sorry for my ignorance....but what is ADR. Apparently ADR (whatever it is) was not available at the time of my back surgeries, at least it was never discussed by my ortho or neuro.

Too bad you're not around here, maybe we could get a multi-surgery discount! I have an idea....I'll think about you that day, you think about me and maybe we won't have time to focus on how freaked out we are? Good luck to you!!

cajunboy- ADR is Artificial Disc Replacement. It has only been approved by the FDA since October 2004.

I'm in Michigan (northern Michigan - where it was 80 on Tuesday and 30 today and they are predicting snow for Saturday!!), so I'm in EST. They have not given me a time yet. They let me pick my day and said they would call me when they had it all set up. I hope they make mine early in the morning, too. I hate waiting!!

Let's hope we both have fabulous experiences and are pain free soon!
