strange lower back (Diagnosed as IBS but i cant understand some things) - Back Problems Message Board

Ok..
If you look at my other posts youll see..
that the lack of anything else made my gastro to diagnose me IBS.
although.. something is really strange..
i dont have diaheria, nor constipation.
i dont have "the rush" to go to the bathroom and if not ill explode.
nothing. the only thing i feel is a strange pressure from the reall reall reallllly lower back into my colon.. feels like i need to "go" but i dont.
also, im having flat (ribbon shaped) stools, has anyone of you ever encountered something like that?
i really must tell, that because of my job, i SIT (on a rather comfy chair) more then 10 hours a day...
now i know its bad, but could it be the problem?
maybe some permanent damage occured?
i went to an ortho. got my lower back x-rayd and had full bone mapping.
everything is ok..
so.. what do u think?

Hi eternity555,
I am struggling with very similar symptoms and I was hoping I could get your advice. I read your posts and there were very helpful. I am beginning to think mine is a muscle on my tailbone as well. I am wondering if your symptoms went away. And if so, did you do anything that made them go away?
Any advice will help a lot. Thanks!

Gentlemen, I 'm not sure if this is any help, but someone poster about Levator Ani Syndrome . If you goole that it seems to sound alot like what you are experiencing. Just thought that I would toss that up and see if your doctors had mentioned it to you. It's still a current post on the back board so you might want to ask the poster about it also. Good luck. I so hope you find relief.
