Tingling in neck, shoulder and face

I just had a mri done, my cervical showed a lot of arthritic changes, spurring and forminal narrowing.

I have been getting this tingling on and off for a month, not steady comes and goes throughout the day only on the left. I just started therapy and even when they put a hot pack on my shoulders it will start the tingling, Yesterday the therapist was trying to release a trgger point near my collar bone and that started the tingling.
Postion seems to start it also.

My sil claims to have the neck and face tingling but not shoulder, she says her DR told her it is from blockage in her carotid, this has me worried because I do have minimal blockage both sides, I get a carotid study done yearly.

I did so much searching and found nothing about this tingling related to cervical nerve compressions, just the tingling in the hands. Any help would be appreciated.

I do have a TMJ and fibromyalgia.

Thanks so much, Linda

Re: Tingling in neck, shoulder and face

I have something similar on the right side, but it's on my ear. Sometimes it like tingling or like I've got shaving cream or something light on it that I can feel, but nothing is there. Mine comes and goes, and it's just a mild annoyance.

When I told my GP, he actually did something and sent me to an ENT specialist. He said what I had could be a symptom of an audial (sp?) neuroma, a benign tumor on the auditory nerve. He did a hearing test on me and it showed that I did have a difference in hearing high frequencies between my left and right ears. He said usually they track with each other, ie. losses occur in both ears at the same frequencies. Both of my ears were above average, but my right ear wouldn't pick up as much hi-frequency as my left.

Sorry for the novel, I had a brain MRI done for the neuroma, but it turned out negative. Just wanted to give you the idea of visiting an ENT just in case they might see something. BTW, I've had a 3 level ACDF, so it could be my cervical work, too.
