Complete Cervical,Thoracic, and Lumbar Spinal Fusion

I am currently fused from T-1 to the Sacrum and at C5 for scioliosis and disc degeneration. The rest of my neck needs to be fused since it is degenating fast. My surgeon and I are struggling with the fact of absolutely no mobility when the remainder of my neck is fused. Is there anyone out there that has had a total complete fusion of the spine or can provide me with any info on this? At this point I'm not sure which outweighs more - the pain or lack of mobility. Currently, I really don't have that much mobility. I had my first fusion over 30 years ago and so I really havenít had any mobility for over 30 years.
