causes lumbar straightening?

recently had xrays for pain in hips, low back, knees and ankles.

was told i have minor straightening of my lumbar spine...

what could cause this? I'm waiting on a referral for a rheumatologist but thought some folks here may have some input.

thanks for any info.

Re: causes lumbar straightening?

Hi Bopper.. I cant tell you everything that can cause this, but I would imagine that bad posture is always a culprit.. At the very least, it can aggravate whatever the cause is... So, sit straight with proper lumbar support, stand straight, and walk straight.. Dont hunch over, especially when picking things up... What do you do for a living and hobbies? If you do alot of bending, this could aggravate your lower back...
