OH goodness you poor thing! me too... suffering mostly from chronic neck and muscle spasms - really really tight and spasming muscles in front of neck, sides of neck (up and around ears including the jaw area) and upper back, shoulders etc... down my bi-ceps (you get the picture)....

I had a controversial surgery on one of my discs because of my headaches - and it totally got rid of headaches.... for over 2 yrs. you need to try and see if you can find someone that will do discectomy withOUT fusion - everyone wants to do fusions..... try to find someone that does it without fusion... its your best bet. Also, look into getting some nerve blocks (not epidurals) and try to find someone that will do Botox for your muscles in neck area. (I am starting botox week after next) my fingers are crossed that it will work.

I am thinking that if I can get those muscles to relax my sinus and ear issues will improve dramatically. I have just had my second nerve block at C6 area (discectomy was done on C5 for headaches). first block worked well - really well - still needed some more pain relief though so we did a second and its my 4th day and I am still feeling bad.... it takes me about 7 days to feel better after the nerve blocks.

Look up Dr. Merrill Reuter and Dr. Jerry Lewis - the first dr. did my surgery c5 (brilliant surgeon) and the second is my BEST pain dr. ever.
