pars injections? spondylolysis

Hi everyone. Im 36 and just looking for advice for and or opinions. In july i had a micro d on l5-s1. Things went well till week 6 then lots of back pain kind of muscular ,tight but daily and very very intense. Just started pt 4 weeks ago.
Saw Dr two days and had some more x -rays. He noticed I have bilateral pars cracks/ defects at l5. After surgery he said it felt a little too loose but didnt notice on x rays the first time.
I am miseable so now he wants to inject cortisone and lydacane into/ near cracks. Im not sure if this is the root cause of my problems or not and realize it wont permanently fix any thing but might make feel better and heal/ stengthen sooner. The vertebrae is not not slipped out of postion, at least not yet. But my back feels like its bending inwards alot and i have some swayback . Also bad muscular type pain from low to mid back. Im thinking maybe after surgery my muscles got weak and now are fighting vertebrae from slipping out of position possibly. Any replies would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: pars injections? spondylolysis

Hi there,
Sorry to hear that you are having such problems. I may be able to help you but I'm really not too sure what exactly it is that you are asking. If you can give me a little more info on what you are looking for and I will check back and see what I can offer.
Take care. We'll chat soon. Beachgirl.
