| Kyphosis, went to spine specialist, still confused
So this is an update from a few days ago about my kyphosis. I went to a spine specialist today, he took an xray standing up this time instead of last time laying down. The degrees in this xray said 65. The doctor said it was nothing serious, but he wants to check with his partner. I'm probably going to be doing just some physical therapy. After meeting with this guy, I wasn't too pleased. My orthopedist and regular doctor did not reccommend him, but we went to him anyway because he could take us sooner, while the others were taking me at a month later. I am going to another spine specialist in about a month to get a second opinion. I'm still having a lot of pain in my mid-lower back area surrounding my spine mostly. I am currently on Celebrex, but i don't think its helping me that much.
What I was thinking about was, that I'm not a doctor, but from research that I have done on the internet, I was expecting to get a brace or something other than therapy which I had been doing for 3 weeks before this. Also, if the degree measured 65, which scared me, I thought that was more serious then I expected.
I know I write this everytime, but I still really want to continue to play sports. I'm hoping to play softball and want to start as soon as I can to practice over winter, but I know I' can't rush anything.
I appreciate any suggestions and all the help I can get. Thanks so much.
Happy Holidays!
